The Current Roadmap

Hi everyone - just a few words about where we are and where we're going...

We're deep into putting the next season together now, and we're already talking to suppliers etc about creating the merchandise, CDs and books that backers ordered. Backerkit likes there to be a brief delay between the end of the campaign and the surveys going out, to allow time for card payment issues to be resolved etc. We'll be submitting the surveys for review today, and they should be with you at some point in the next week or so.

We're holding off charging shipping at this stage, as we did with Crowley, because international volatility suggests it's better to wait until we're ready to go before finalising costs. Our promise to cap shipping rates on the more expensive bands still stands.

For those who missed out on the campaign, the opportunity will exist to buy the show via either the Backerkit pre-order store, when that opens, or via the Village Shop once the show is released - watch this space.

Crowley fulfilment also starts imminently - apologies for the delay on this, some of the items just took a lot longer to produce than we anticipated, as did the paperwork for shipping stuff to the EU. These are all lessons that we have learned and will be applying when we ship the Call of Cthulhu materials.

We're also hoping to get chapter 8 of De Kliek up on the site in the next week or so. Once De Kliek is done (after Chapter 10), we're going to write up another investigation, which is something we stumbled across while we were working on The Call of Cthulhu.

We're also putting together some ideas for a weighty coffee-table book taking a look behind the scenes at our work so far. When we have more to share on that, we'll let you know, and we might be looking to crowdfund that in the autumn.

In other news, we are finishing up a few bits of legal paperwork and then we will be making previous seasons of the show available to buy via the Village Shop, along with a few other audio bits and pieces that we are putting the finishing touches to. We know a lot of people would like to own these for good, and these will be high-quality WAV files that will certainly stand the test of time. Watch this space...

We're also looking to expand the Village Shop, and we're talking to our campaign fulfilment people about being able to offer T-shirts, books, CDs and other merchandise on there. We only want to do really high-quality stuff, and we have some great suppliers who can deliver on that, so we're hoping to make the shop into a going concern with some exclusive items that have not been part of any of the campaigns.

Between Crowley and The Call of Cthulhu, you have given Red Hook Stories a new lease of life and we're newly confident that we can keep the lights on for a while. Thank you to everyone who has listened to the show, backed campaigns, or helped spread the word.
