On Subscriptions
Some clarification, and a BRAND NEW subscription tier.
Kennedy and I have been looking at the subscription situation here on the site, and we have decided it's time for a bit of a tidy-up.
I am not tidying up anything - Kennedy
Now that we have arrived at a "conscious uncoupling" from the BBC, we are free to pursue whatever investigations we want, in whatever manner we feel best fits. That's great for our creative future, but it does come with various cost implications (international travel and psychiatric fees aren't cheap). Outside of crowdfunding for specific projects, it is your subscriptions that keep the lights on here.
We're incredibly grateful to the community for keeping us going through thick and thin, and we hope you will continue to do so. We also hope to grow this community over the next few months, especially now that our first two seasons are available again, and Crowley is due for release at the end of March.

We've been operating a three-tier subscription system for a while now; Cultist, Investigator and Department of Works, and that has been working fine, but the lines between the tiers have got a little blurry, and we think we can do a better job at defining them. At the same time, we have decided, as an intriguing new opportunity presented itself, to add a new tier to the structure. So here is how things now stand:
Cultist - This is the free subscription. You get access to journals, public posts and newsletters. If you want to know what we're up to and when we're launching crowdfunding campaigns, this is how you ensure you don't miss out.
Investigator - For £6 per month, you get access to all our serialised investigations (like Saltmarsh and De Kliek), and you also get access to The Attic, which is the wiki we have been building out to allow us, and you, to get a handle on the people, places and organisations that we have been investigating.
NEW: Pendragon - During the course of our De Kliek investigation, we came into contact with the management at the exclusive Pendragon Club (Est. 1796) in London's St James's. Having lost our main office, we were looking for somewhere to put all our research material and club secretary St John Caul kindly offered us some space. He also extended a membership invitation for members of our community who might be interested in that material. For £12 per month, you get everything the Investigators get, plus access to the Pendragon's archive, which holds scripts to all our shows, research materials and behind-the-scenes intel. You will also get the drop on crowdfunding news, including exclusive opportunities only available to Pendragon members. And you will receive the Club newsletter, which is created every month by St John himself. Members who have received it for years report that they breathlessly await each issue.
St John is apparently pronounced "Sinjin". What is wrong with this country, who hurt you? - Kennedy
Department of Works - at £25 per month, this is the patron level. As an agent at the Department, you have automatic membership to the Pendragon Club and access to everything on the site. You are also first with all the news and exclusive crowdfunding opportunities and, because we feel like we have been neglecting our patrons a little during the Crowley production period, we are clearing all Agents to receive the weekly Designation: Eigengrau Fandango internal Department newsletter, the author and content of which we are unfortunately not cleared to discuss here. Above all, though, Department of Works members are the core of our community; you are our friends, our patrons, and more responsible than you know for keeping this going.
We hope that provides some clarification. If you've listened to the show, you already know what we're dealing with. The investigation is ongoing, the costs are real, and we could use the backup.
The world is getting darker every day, and someone needs to keep the lights on. Please subscribe! - Kennedy
